This free forest camp operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations required. The campground is located in the Diamond Lake Ranger District of the Umpqua National Forest. Facilities are minimal but adequate for dispersed-style camping. A vault toilet is provided, but there is no potable water available. Campers must be prepared to treat or filter water from nearby water sources. There are no garbage services, so visitors must pack out all trash. Maximum vehicle length is 25 feet, and the maximum stay is 14 days anywhere on the forest. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring nearby attractions including Toketee Falls, Umpqua Hot Springs, and Watson Falls. Check-in is at 2:00 p.m., check-out is at 12:00 p.m., and quiet hours are enforced between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash no more than six feet long during the day and inside an enclosed vehicle or tent at night.
