Cinder Hills OHV Area

About this site

This is a great open area as long as you are tolerant of people having fun on their ATVs and off-road vehicles. Just be sure to go past the split fence with the OHV area sign. I camped closer to the highway to get away from the noise a bit, and was informed by a ranger in the morning that I shouldn't have. They were polite and understanding. Additional Info: Dispersed camping permitted in posted areas along FR 776 beyond the first 1.2 miles. No camping for the first 1.2 miles. No glass containers allowed. Potable water not available. Off-road travel between FR 545 and FR 776 prohibited. Area managed by Coconino National Forest, Flagstaff Ranger District.
