Chute Hill Campground
About this site
Chute Hill Campground at Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park features 27-30 campsites for tents, trailers, and RVs set among large pine, cedar, and oak trees. Most campsites are large with food storage lockers, tables, fire rings, and grills. The campground has flush toilets, drinking water, and trash collection. No RV hookups are available. Cabins (15' x 20') are also available with wood burning stoves, cold running water, wooden bunk beds sleeping four adults, and outside fire pits. Group camping accommodates 9-40 people with up to 10 vehicles per site. All reservations are made through ReserveCaliforniaReservation. The park is located 26 miles (50 minutes) from Nevada City and offers over 20 miles of trails. Dogs are allowed on controlled leash on designated dog-friendly trails.
