Chickahominy Reservoir Campground

Chickahominy Recreation Site is a BLM-managed campground located on the banks of Chickahominy Reservoir on Highway 20 between Bend and Burns, Oregon. The recreation site offers 28 campsites on a first-come, first-served basis, all with gravel pads suitable for RVs. Many sites are pull-through; some are back-in only. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Amenities include vault restrooms, drinking water, a fish cleaning station, and a boat ramp. The reservoir is one of eastern Oregon's most popular fishing spots, stocked with rainbow trout once or twice yearly. Fishing season peaks in June and resumes in September; ice fishing is popular from December to late February. The extensive valley is surrounded by foothills, distant buttes, and ridges providing far-reaching high desert views. Pets are allowed. Strong winds are common; shade is limited. Stay limit is 14 days. Camping fee is $8 per vehicle, per night.
