Chickahominy Recreation Site is a BLM-managed campground located on the banks of Chickahominy Reservoir on Hwy 20 between Bend and Burns, Oregon. The recreation site offers 28 campsites on gravel pads, many of which are pull-through sites suitable for RVs. All sites include a picnic table and fire ring. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault restrooms, a fish cleaning station, and a boat ramp. The extensive valley where the reservoir lies is surrounded by foothills, distant buttes and rough ridges, providing far-reaching views of the open high desert country. Shade is limited and strong winds are common. Pets are allowed. Camping fees are $16 per vehicle per night, available on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-day stay limit. The site is popular for fishing, with peak season in June and September; ice fishing is popular from December to late February.
