Cedar Swamp Camp
About this site
Cedar Swamp Camp is a primitive backcountry campsite located at the junction of Herman Creek Trail #406 and Trail #410 in the Mount Hood National Forest, near the Big Cedar Swamp area. It features a large flat and dry open area suitable for tent camping amid old growth forest of fir, cedar, and hemlock.

There are 2 good clear camp spots but it is really a scramble to get to this site. The trail coming from the Herman Creek trailhead after Casey Creek Camp has not been maintained, with lots of overgrowth and many large downed trails that require going off trail to navigate around. Plenty of good flowing water sources in the area.
