Cedar River North State Forest Campground
About this site
Nestled among a forest of mixed hardwoods and conifers, this rustic campground is situated along the winding banks of the Cedar River. There are 18 sites available, including 12 sites for tent and small trailer use and 6 sites available for equestrian camping. Each equestrian site has two attached 12' x 14' corrals. The campground includes vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis with overnight fees of $20 for most sites. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. The Cedar River Pathway is accessible from the campground and offers opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and mountain biking. The Cedar River offers excellent paddling and fishing opportunities. A carry-in kayak and canoe launch area is available.
