About this site
Cave Campground is right on Hat Creek and across the road from the Subway Cave. All sites have fire rings and barbeques. Cave Campground offers Hat Creek fishing access with free day use parking. Hat Creek offers some of the best fishing on the Lassen National Forest. There are plenty of day hiking trails and interpretive information that can be found at the Old Station Visitor Center. Fee info: Overnight Use: Single Site: $16 per night Additional Vehicle Fee: $5 per vehicle per night Additional Info: Seasonal operation April through October, weather dependent. 46 first-come, first-served sites at 4,390 feet elevation. Flush toilets and potable water available during operating season. Check-in after 3:00 PM, check-out before 2:00 PM. 14-day stay limit. Maximum two vehicles per site. Pets must be on leash. Interagency passes accepted for 50% discount on single site fee.
