Carter Meadows Horse Group Campground is a specialized equestrian group site in Klamath National Forest at 5,800 feet elevation on the South Fork Salmon River. Designed for up to 25 people and 25 horses, it features dispersed tent or trailer camping, corrals (seven 1-horse, three 2-horse, three 3-4 horse), gravel parking, gated entrance, hitch rack, and mounting ramp. Adjacent to Trinity Alps Wilderness and Pacific Crest Trail with trailheads to lakes and fishing streams. Reservable, $50/night, with potable water, restrooms, picnic tables.
