Carne Basin Camp
About this site
Carne Basin Camp is a backcountry campground located in a small basin below the summit of Carne Mountain, reached after approximately 3 miles of hiking via switchbacks through open forest and talus slopes on the Carne Mountain Trail from Phelps Creek Trailhead. The area features larches (peak color in fall), a small meandering stream, and views of Glacier Peak Wilderness mountains. Pets allowed on leash. Accessible June-October. Additional Info: Backcountry site in Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Glacier Peak Wilderness. No reservations; first-come first-served.
