Carl Park
About this site
This county park is located on the Tres Palacios River, below the FM 521 bridge, about two miles north of where it empties into Tres Palacios Bay and the greater Matagorda Bay. The park was set up for fishermen and boaters, and include a boat ramp and a fishing pier. Additional Info: Matagorda County park with picnic tables, grills, boat ramp, fishing pier, and large dirt parking lot suitable for tents and RVs. No formal campsites or signs prohibiting camping, but popular for free overnight stays with a reported 3-day limit. Drinking water and toilets available.
