Caribou Campground
About this site
Caribou Campground is a small, primitive campground located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana at an elevation of 3,644 feet, situated 3.5 miles south of the US/Canada border. The campground features 3 sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. A vault toilet is available. The campground's location adjacent to Caribou Creek provides fishing opportunities and a serene forest setting. The area offers hiking access to nearby trails. Due to its remote location and elevation, the campground operates seasonally (typically May through September, weather permitting). Campers should be prepared for primitive conditions and bring their own water. The maximum recommended trailer length is 24 feet, and stays are limited to 14 days. Access is via Forest Road 92 north of Troy.
