High Camp (Campsite 12) is a 15-20 minute walk beyond campsite 11 (Spotted Owl) on a slow, difficult section of the river, 300 yards before Big Spring. The site is on the left side of the river on a 25-foot high bench in a stand of maple and Douglas fir. It can be easy to miss. Capacity: 12 people. Requires advance reservation permit through Recreation.gov. Additional Info: Located along the Zion Narrows top-down backpacking route in Zion National Park, downstream of Deep Creek confluence and upstream of Big Spring.
