ZEC Matimek Camping is located 10-15 minutes from Sept-Îles on the peaceful Hall River in Quebec's Côte-Nord region. The facility offers rustic and semi-serviced camping options, as well as riverside pod rentals with sauna, Wi-Fi, kayak, and paddle board included. The ZEC Matimek territory covers 1,854 km² with over 350 lakes and is accessible year-round. Activities include hunting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, wildlife observation (moose, bald eagles, bears, beavers), ice climbing, snowmobiling, and hiking. Facilities include two welcome stations, boat rentals, multiple camping sites, electricity, wireless internet, showers, washrooms, waste water dump, boat ramp, marina, and picnic areas. Open year-round with summer hours (Sunday-Thursday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday-Saturday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and winter hours (Friday-Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.).
