Camp Site A - Tent Pads

About this site

This campsite is not accessible by vehicle; guests must be able to “pack in and pack out” their items. We recommend bringing a small wagon to transport items to your site. Please note that snow is not plowed along the trails to the campsites during winter weather. Big Creek Park’s Camp Site A contains two 10′ x 14′ tent pads which typically accommodate up to 5 people each. Tents must be placed on the tent pads and not on the surrounding ground. A picnic table and a fire ring with grate are also provided. Campers must bring their own firewood and supplies. Please do not bring firewood from outside Ohio. Campers are encouraged to bring/purchase firewood from local sources nearby this park. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at campsites. Vault-style restrooms are available near the parking lot. There is no running water in the restrooms. It is recommended that campers bring their own water for drinking and sanitation, but potable water may be available at the Donald W. Meyer Center. To access it, walk around the building to the amphitheater; the water spigot is located under the balcony against the wall. An emergency phone, which connects directly to the Geauga County Sheriff’s Department, is also located outside the Meyer Center near the entrance. Campers are responsible for cleaning up their campsite before they depart. A trash receptacle is provided in the campground parking lot. Do not burn trash in the fire ring; rather, please “pack it out” at the end of your reservation. Upon placing a reservation, please review the complete camping guidelines found on your permit and keep this document available to reference during your stay.
