Camp Joe Scherman (often abbreviated Camp Scherman) is a 700-acre camping and recreation facility owned and operated by the Girl Scouts of Orange County, located in the southern San Jacinto Mountains at 5,500 feet elevation off Pines to Palms Highway (Highway 74) in Riverside County, Southern California. The scenic property features rolling foothills of California montane chaparral and woodlands, a junior Olympic-size pool, two ponds, and miles of trails. Access via Morris Ranch Road; follow orange Camp Scherman signs. Cabins sleep 12-24 per cabin. Activities include canoeing, archery, hiking, arts and crafts. Primarily for Girl Scout troops and summer sleepaway camps for grades 2-12; adult supervision required for weekend camps.
