About this site
Camp BEL is a 53-acre scout camp in Dorchester, Ontario, about half wooded and half open fields, backing onto the Thames River suitable for canoeing. It features tenting sites, three clearings near the river for ~75 campers each, a main lodge with two halls (Langford Hall and Grand Howl Hall), six bunk rooms, washrooms, showers, and kitchen. Additional facilities include a rappelling tower, 500' tree top zipline, low ziplines, obstacle courses, craft stations, picnic tables, cooking shelters, and on-site store. Operated by 1st Dorchester Scout Group for youth programs, church, school, or training groups; wheelchair accessible. Additional Info: Year-round use with both open fields and forested sites.
