Cal Cheak Recreation Site
About this site
Cal Cheak is a first-come-first-served recreation site managed by Recreation Sites and Trails BC, located 3km north of Brandywine Falls Provincial Park on Highway 99 near Whistler. The site features over 55 campsites divided into three areas: Callaghan Camp, North Camp, and South Camp, spread along the Daisy Lake Forest Service Road. Campsites are situated between Callaghan Creek and the Cheakamus River, with a suspension bridge offering views of the two waterways' convergence. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. Facilities include pit toilets, garbage bins, and bear caches. There is no running water or hookups. The site is heavily treed, providing shade in summer. Camping fee is $18/night from April 18–October 31; free November–March. First-come-first-served; no reservations. Open May 1–October 31 (though winter camping is available). Many sites accommodate RVs.
