Buzzard Roost Recreation Area
About this site
Buzzard Roost Campground is a scenic, rustic site in Hoosier National Forest perched on bluffs overlooking the Ohio River. It offers 5 first-come, first-served campsites with picnic tables, fire rings, a vault toilet, and garbage can. No water is available on site. A strenuous 0.5-mile trail leads from the bluff to the river banks. Sandstone outcrops, hardwood forest, and wildlife viewing opportunities are present. Additional Info: Parking areas at trailhead and camping spur. Camping at numbered sites only. Free of charge.
