Quiet and off the beaten path, Butte Creek campground is located 4 miles off Highway 44. No fee. Additional Info: Butte Creek Campground features 10 semi-developed sites along Butte Creek at 5,600 feet elevation in Lassen National Forest. It is first-come, first-served with no fees. Amenities include vault toilets at both ends, picnic tables, and metal fire rings at each site. No potable water is available; bring your own or filter from the creek. Open year-round but not maintained in winter; access depends on snow conditions. Suitable for tents and small RVs.
