Burnt Lake campsite #6 is one of several designated backcountry campsites accessible via a ~3.5-mile hike on Burnt Lake Trail #772 in Mount Hood Wilderness, Mt. Hood National Forest. The trail climbs steadily from the north trailhead at Forest Road 1825-109 (2,680 ft) to the lake at 4,120 ft elevation. A loop trail around the lake provides access to the campsites. Camping is permitted only in designated spots. Campfires prohibited within 100 feet of the lake. A valid Northwest Forest Pass is required at the trailhead May 1 to October 31. Wilderness entry permit required. Additional Info: Sites are popular and fill quickly on summer weekends; weekdays and September less crowded.
