Burlington Campground
About this site
Burlington Campground is a 30-site campground within Humboldt Redwoods State Park, managed by the California Department of Parks and Recreation. Located directly adjacent to the park's visitor center along the Avenue of the Giants scenic route, the campground operates under nearly constant shade from towering redwoods. The campground accommodates RVs up to 24 feet and features paved roads throughout. Facilities include flush toilets, coin-operated showers (25 cents per minute), and water spigots throughout the campground. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and bear locker. Firewood is available for $10 per bundle. The campground is a dry camp with no hookups or dump station. Hiking trails begin directly across the street, providing access to ancient groves and the South Fork Eel River for swimming and fishing. The adjacent visitor center offers WiFi access and free morning coffee. The campground fills quickly during peak season; reservations through Reserve California cannot be made within 48 hours of arrival, with walk-up registration available for single-night stays on a first-come, first-served basis.
