Brown's Hole Trailhead

Brown's Hole Trailhead is located on a bench along Forest Road 038 in the Gooseberry drainage at about 8,900 feet in elevation. The area features aspen trees and mixed brush. Facilities include a vault restroom, gravel parking, and an information kiosk. Dispersed camping opportunities are available nearby with a 16-day/15-night stay limit. The Great Western Trail for hiking, horseback riding, and 50" ATV riding passes adjacent to the trailhead. Horse corrals are available. The site is open May through November, 24 hours per day. All motorized travel is restricted to designated routes. Pack out all trash and follow leave no trace principles.
