Briggs Creek Campground

Briggs Creek Campground has just three campsites. Named for packer George E. Briggs, who slung supplies for early miners in the area. Interesting for hiking the Briggs Creek Trail with dilapidated cabins and abandoned mines from a gold mining town. Offers campfire rings, picnic tables, pets allowed. No showers, no potable water, no sewer hookups, no electric hookups. First come, first served, tent camping. Pit toilets available. Additional Info: Located in Rogue-River Siskiyou National Forest next to a bridge over Briggs Creek. Trailhead for Illinois River Trail.
