About this site

Camping along beaches in Brazoria County is free as long as its not within an incorporated city or town. The County operates five beach accesses running from the eastern border of the Town of Surfside, east to Bluewater RV Resort, about a six mile stretch. Camping is allowed inside the town limits of Surfside, but with a fee. Additional Info: Brazoria County Free Beach Access #5 is located at the Lazy Palms community at Amigo Ln on Follett's Island beach. It is popular due to smaller crowds and cleaner beach compared to other accesses. RVs are allowed on the hard-packed sand beach, suitable for 2WD vehicles, though 4WD recommended for trailers. Free dispersed beach camping with a 14 consecutive day limit. Small campsite fires allowed unless burn ban in effect. Portable toilets available April through September at some access points. All beach-driven vehicles must be street legal. No fee or permit required.
