About this site
Camping along beaches in Brazoria County is free as long as its not within an incorporated city or town. The County operates five beach accesses running from the eastern border of the Town of Surfside, east to Bluewater RV Resort, about a six mile stretch. Camping is allowed inside the town limits of Surfside, but with a fee. Additional Info: Follett's Island Beach is a 13-mile stretch of public beach with free camping year-round via access points along Bluewater Highway or CR 257. No fee or permit required. Camping limited to 14 consecutive days. Small campsite fires allowed unless burn ban in effect. Portable toilets available April-September at access points 1 and 2. All vehicles on beach must be street legal. Pets must be leashed.
