About this site

Brazeau River Provincial Recreation Area is a small, rustic campground located 72 km north of Nordegg on Forestry Trunk Road (Highway 734) in central Alberta. The campground sits on the banks of the Brazeau River and offers seven unserviced campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis from May 1st to October 13th each year. Sites are lined with abundant tree cover for privacy. Amenities include a cooking shelter, pit toilets, firepits, firewood, water pumps, and a picnic shelter. Water from the hand pump is not suitable for drinking, so visitors should bring their own. Dogs are welcome if kept leashed, and generator use is permitted.
