Brazeau Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area
About this site
Brazeau Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area features 3 camping loops: Loops A and B are unserviced but treed; Loop C is powered but has few trees and is more like a large graveled lot close to the water. The Main Group site is a large area within walking distance to the shore with a large shelter with a wood stove. The North Shore Group site is located 60 km south of Drayton Valley on Highway 620 (Sunchild Road). The reservoir is great for fishing, canoeing, sailing and bird watching. In springtime, the water level is low and there is a lot of sandy beach area showing up on the north side. OHVs are not permitted in the campground. Basic camping facilities include firepits, picnic tables, water access, sand beach, boat launching and fish cleaning facilities.
