Bottleneck Lake

Bottleneck Lake offers dispersed backcountry camping in the Selkirk Mountains of Idaho Panhandle National Forest. Access is via a 3.3-mile hike on Bottleneck Lake Trail #187, which branches from Snow Lake Trail #185 at the 1.5-mile mark. Established campsites are available near the lake. No permits or reservations required; first-come, first-served. Dogs allowed under control. Fishing allowed with Idaho license. Follow Leave No Trace principles and camp 100 feet from lakeshores. Fires may be restricted; check regulations. Additional Info: 10.6-acre alpine lake in a rocky cirque with clear water, scenic ridgelines, and solitude.
