Bottleneck Lake
About this site
Bottleneck Lake features two established backcountry campsites at the base of the lake in a rocky cirque. Accessed via Trail #187 (3.3 miles, 300 ft elevation gain) from the Snow Lake Trail #185 junction, approximately 1.5 miles from the junction. Dispersed camping allowed, first-come first-served, no permit required. Follow Leave No Trace principles and camp 100 feet from lakeshores. Additional Info: Located in Kaniksu National Forest near Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Trailhead at end of Forest Road 402/658, high-clearance vehicle recommended for last miles.
