Boles Field
About this site
Boles Field is located in the northern portion of Sabine National Forest in eastern Texas, near the border of Louisiana. The area centers around a cemetery for fox hounds established at the turn of the century, and some of the world's most well-known hunting dogs are buried here. Additional Info: The campground offers 20 campsites with electric and water hookups on a first-come, first-served basis. Sites include picnic tables, fire pits with BBQ racks, and lantern posts. Flush toilets and showers are available. The campground features an amphitheater (approximately 100 capacity) and group shelter available for day-use reservations. Horses are allowed. Toledo Bend Reservoir, one of the nation's most regarded freshwater fishing sites, is located approximately six miles away. The area is excellent for bird watching and wildlife viewing.
