Bogard Campground offers a tranquil, no-fee camping experience in Lassen National Forest's Eagle Lake Ranger District. Located 1.75 miles off Highway 44 via dirt road, this quiet campground features 10 first-come, first-served sites nestled among beautiful aspens and pines along Pine Creek. At 5,600 feet elevation, the campground provides a scenic setting with proximity to Bogard Buttes and access to nearby trails. The campground includes four dedicated equestrian sites, each with two corrals for a total of eight corrals, making it popular with horse campers. Basic amenities include hand-pumped drinking water (seasonal), vault toilets, and trash collection. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. High-clearance vehicles are recommended for the access road.
