Bodine Field Campground

Bodine Field Campground is a large rustic campground in Wharton State Forest, Bass River Township, NJ, right on the Wading River. It offers 22 family sites (up to 6 people, 2 tents each) and 7 group sites (up to 15-100 people), each with a fire ring but no picnic table. Access is via a solid dirt road off Route 679; beware of sugar sand. Facilities include a hand pump for drinking water and pit toilets. Great for tent camping and canoeing the Wading River. Pets not allowed. Additional Info: Per-person daily fees: NJ resident $3, non-resident $5. Sites are drive-in with partial shade. Reservations via www.camping.nj.gov.
