Bodi Lake State Forest Campground
About this site
Secluded, rustic campground located on the northwest side of Bodi Lake in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, 31 miles northeast of Newberry. The campground features 12 sites available on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. All sites include a picnic table and fire ring. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. No electrical, water, or sewer hookups available. Bodi Lake offers excellent walleye and pike fishing, with a boat launch on the north side for small watercrafts, kayaks, and canoes. The Bodi Lake Pathway, a 1.25-mile hiking trail through forest and along the lakeshore, can be accessed directly from the campground. The North Country Trail is nearby at Culhane Lake state forest campground. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. One camping unit and six people are allowed per site. Pet-friendly and open year-round.
