Bluff Campground
About this site
Bluff Hike-In Camping is a hike-in only campground located at the intersection of the Bluff and Firefly Trails in Congaree National Park, approximately 1 mile from both the Harry Hampton Visitor Center and Longleaf Campground. The campground features 6 primitive tent-only sites positioned around the edges of an open, grassy clearing in a mixed pine/hardwood upland forest. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. This location sits at higher elevation than the floodplain, protecting it from periodic flooding that regularly occurs in other areas of the park. Campers must park at either the Harry Hampton Visitor Center or Longleaf Campground and hike approximately 1 mile to reach the campground. No restroom facilities or running water are available at the campground; vault toilets are at Longleaf Campground and potable water is available at the visitor center. Reservations are required and can be made through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive days and 28 days within a 6-month period.
