About this site

Dispersed camping site in Lincoln National Forest near the historic Bluewater Lookout Tower, built in 1917 and on the National Register of Historic Places. Accessed via Forest Road 85 where dispersed camping is permitted up to the last 1,000 feet. There are about five previously-used campsites along the road; Site #1 is one of them. First come, first served with no fee or permit required. Max stay 14 days in 45-day period. No amenities.
