Blueberry Lake State Recreation Site offers 21 basic campsites with picnic tables and fire rings (except sites 18 and 19) near a high alpine lake ideal for fishing grayling, kayaking, hiking, and biking. RVs under 30 feet are allowed but there are no hookups or pull-throughs. Features include vault toilets, drinking water from a hand pump, covered picnic shelters/pavilions, and trash service. Sites are mostly well-spaced; sites 3-6 are clustered near the lake shore. Pets and generators allowed. $5 day use fee; $25 overnight. Reservations up to 7 days in advance or first-come first-served. Additional Info: Located 24-30 miles north of Valdez along Richardson Highway in Thompson Pass with 360-degree mountain views. ADA-accessible facilities. Lake stocked with grayling and rainbow trout.
