Overview This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature. If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. Additional Info: Blowing Springs is a primitive campground in George Washington National Forest near Warm Springs, Virginia, featuring approximately 40 sites for RV and tent camping. The campground is known for a unique natural phenomenon: a natural duct formation that continuously blows air through rock crevices, creating a steady stream of warm or cool air depending on the season. Large sites offer access to Back Creek and the James River with scenic riverside locations. Amenities include potable water, toilets, picnic tables, and campfire rings. No electric or water hookups are available at individual sites. The campground features fiber optic internet with Wi-Fi access points covering the entire area. Nightly rate is $35.
