Black Mountain Yellow Post Site #6 is one of six free, primitive campsites marked by yellow posts along Black Mountain Road (Forest Road 4S01) in San Bernardino National Forest, San Jacinto Ranger District. Accessed via a rough, steep dirt road requiring 4WD and high clearance vehicles; not suitable for trailers, RVs, or motorhomes. Intended for cars, vans, and pickup trucks. Site #6 is located at a trailhead. Amenities include picnic tables and fire rings. No water, restrooms, or trash service available; pack in/pack out required. 8 persons and 2 vehicles maximum. 14-day camping limit. California Campfire Permit required for fires. Dogs must be leashed. Additional Info: Road usually closed in winter. Poor cell signal (Verizon 1 bar).
