Black Mountain Yellow Post Site #2 is one of six remote, first-come first-served campsites in San Bernardino National Forest, offering isolated scenic locations ideal for tent and car camping. These sites provide views of San Jacinto Mountain and the San Gorgonio Pass area, accessed via Black Mountain Road 4S01 (dirt road, high-clearance vehicles recommended, not suitable for trailers or RVs). No fees. Maximum 8 persons and 2 vehicles per site. 14-day camping limit. California Campfire Permit required for campfires, gas stoves, or lanterns. Dogs must be leashed. Pack in/pack out, Leave No Trace principles apply. Additional Info: Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Sites generally open late spring through fall; road closes in winter due to snow.
