Black Mountain Group Campground
About this site
Black Mountain Group Campground is a designated group site in San Bernardino National Forest for up to 100 people and 25 vehicles, suitable for tent camping. Located at approximately 7,500 feet elevation, it offers picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, and vault toilets. Drinking water is not available on-site but can be found at Cinco Posa Spring about two miles before the campground. Access is via rough, unpaved Black Mountain Road (Forest Route 4S01), requiring high clearance and 4WD vehicles; trailers and RVs over 12 feet are not recommended. Dogs are allowed on leash. Reservations required via recreation.gov, with fees based on group size and a minimum 3-night stay on major holidays. Additional Info: Season typically opens May 22 through September 2.
