Black Butte Creek WF1 is a backcountry campsite in Yellowstone National Park, accessible via approximately a 2.2-mile hike on the Black Butte Trail from the trailhead on the northwest side near US Highway 191. As a backcountry site, a permit is required for overnight camping. Campfires are allowed only in designated fire rings. The area is frequented by grizzly bears; hike in groups of 3 or more. Additional Info: Strenuous trail climbs toward Sky Rim Trail and Big Horn Peak. Proof of negative Coggins test required for stock use.
