Black Bear Retreat is an idyllic campground with 19 RV sites and five lodge rooms. Located right outside of Salida, in Howard, Colorado, guests have access to the best of the mountains and the Arkansas River. Rafting, Hot Springs, Skiing, Hiking, the Royal Gorge, Hunting, Monarch Mountain, and Bishop's Castle are all within driving distance of our conveniently located Retreat! Beautiful hilltop views. Choose from 30 or 50 AMP sites. Nightly, weekly, and monthly rates available. Cozy, updated rooms with electric fireplaces, mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffee makers. Modern, glamping tents coming soon!
