Campground scheduled for decommissioning as funding is available Additional Info: Billy Creek Recreation Area lies along a small stream in the Ouachita National Forest, providing a spot to fish for sunfish in small pools. The area features 12 campsites with picnic tables, vault toilets, and tent pads. Billy Creek Trail starts here and climbs to the top of Winding Stair Mountain, intersecting the 225-mile Ouachita National Recreation Trail. The campground is located 20 minutes from the Talimena Scenic Drive. Open year-round, first-come first-served, no reservations accepted. No drinking water available on-site; visitors must bring their own water and pack out all trash.
