Big Run State Park Campground
About this site
Big Run State Park Campground offers 29 primitive campsites available year-round, each with a picnic table and fire ring. Sites 60-75 are wooded with stone-dust pads, while sites 78-90 are in an open grassy field. There are two waterless toilets and no drinking water, showers, or hookups on-site. Group sites include Monroe Run for up to 25 people and Creekside for up to 12. Reservations required via parkreservations.maryland.gov or 1-888-432-CAMP. Additional Info: Situated at the mouth of Savage River Reservoir in Garrett County, Maryland, with access to fishing, boating, hiking, and hunting in Savage River State Forest. Boat launch and trails including 6-mile Monroe Run trailhead available.
