Big Pines Recreation Site
About this site
Big Pines Recreation Site is the largest BLM recreation site in Yakima River Canyon, offering 42 campsites with overnight and day use amenities. The site features picnic tables, fire rings, nearby dumpsters, and vault toilets. Several group campsites and walk-in only campsites (A, B, C) are available. A non-motorized river put-in/takeout site is provided. Hookups and potable water are not available. The northern edge is adjacent to undeveloped hiking trails managed by Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Overnight camping costs $15 per night; day use is $5. Reservations are accepted through Recreation.gov from May 1 - September 15. Outside reservation season, camping operates first-come-first-served with self-serve fee payment. The site is open year-round.
