About this site

Big Pine Flat Family Campground is situated in the San Bernardino National Forest at an elevation of 6,820 feet, approximately 8 miles northwest of Fawnskin and Big Bear Lake. The campground features 19 first-come, first-served campsites nestled among Ponderosa pines with a nice meadow area. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with a campground host on-site during the operating season. The campground is particularly popular with off-highway vehicle enthusiasts, offering direct access to Forest Road 3N14 and nearby OHV trails including the Redonda Ridge OHV Trail 1W17. The rough dirt road access (approximately 7 miles on FR 3N14) makes this a more remote and secluded destination. Additional Info: Amenities include vault toilets and potable drinking water. Maximum vehicle length is 30 feet. Fires may be restricted.
