Big Pine Flat Family Campground has 19 first-come, first-served campsites in a secluded area of the San Bernardino National Forest at 6820 feet elevation, near Big Bear Lake. Sites accommodate tents, trailers, and small RVs, with amenities including drinking water, vault toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, and a campground host. Popular for OHV riding, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing. Access via dirt roads (Forest Rt. 3N14); high clearance recommended. Nearest showers at Serrano Campground. Call Big Bear Discovery Center for current restrictions. Additional Info: Open year-round, weather permitting. Pets allowed. No reservations; first-come, first-served.
