Big Kandiyohi Lake County Park East (formerly County Park #2) is located on the east side of Big Kandiyohi Lake, has an excellent sandy swimming beach and access to shoreline fishing. Walleye, northern, crappies and catfish can be caught from shore here as well as from a boat. Located 18 miles south of Willmar, or 6 miles north of Lake Lillian on County Road 8. It has a capacity of 80 campers with electricity. Seasonal rates available. New this year (2025) is 2 new sleeper cabins. The first cabin, Maple, is the ADA compliant cabin that sleeps 5 and the other cabin, Oak, sleeps 6. The cabins have AC, heat, microwave and a small fridge. There is a counter in each cabin for you to put a crock pot, coffee maker (not included). No bedding is provided and there is no running water in cabins. Bathroom/showers are close by. Both of the cabins have a nice sunset view from the decks on them. There is a $75 refundable deposit for the cabins. Additional Info: Amenities include volleyball, grills, shelter, picnic tables, play equipment, restrooms, swimming beach, fishing, boat/canoe center, boat dock, fishing pier, and camp store/snack bar. The park has 80 paved campsites with electricity.
