Big Atlantic Gulch Campground

Big Atlantic Gulch Campground is a BLM-managed facility in the South Pass area of Wyoming, featuring 10 campsites at 8,028 feet elevation. The campground offers fire rings, picnic tables, vault toilets, and seasonal water (weather permitting). Sites can accommodate medium-sized recreational vehicles, and the facility is ADA accessible. Operating seasonally from June through October on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations, the campground charges $6 per night. A campground host is occasionally on site during the use season. The area is known bear habitat, so proper food storage and bear awareness are essential. Located 1 mile from Highway 28 on the west side of Atlantic City Road, it serves as an affordable base camp for exploring the surrounding South Pass area, including nearby historic mining towns and extensive prairie landscapes.
